1973 Infrastructure

The original Igloo facility has served our athletes for over 50 years. However, the aging plumbing, cramped lockers, and outdated training space no longer meet the needs of a competitive Michigan athletic program.

A Vision for 2027

Our goal is to modernize the facility while preserving the “Esky” spirit. This includes comprehensive ADA compliance, gender-specific spaces, and professional-grade performance equipment for our student-athletes.

Our Plan

• Construct and install 45 Player Lockers
• Renovate and expand Restroom
• Shower Room fixture upgrades
• Replace/paint walls in the Locker Room and Meeting Room
• Make the Locker Room and Training Room A.D.A. Accessible
• Training/Medical Room: New Ice Machine & Sink, New Paint
  
• Develop a small separate locker area for female football athletes that includes lockers, restroom and shower
• Meeting Room Technology Upgrades

Project Timeline

• Summer/Fall 2026: Fundraising
• Fall 2026: Construction Bids - Complete Fundraising
• Winter/Spring 2027: Locker Room Construction
• Summer/Fall 2027: Igloo Ready
