Bob Chaillier was elected to the Board of Education in 2016. Mr. Chaillier has been a resident of Escanaba all his life, graduating from Escanaba High School in 1989. He has been a registered MHSAA official for over 20 years. Mr. Chaillier has been employed with Rotech Healthcare, Inc. as a Service Center Supervisor for 20 years. He is an active member and past Chairman of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELS). Mr. Chaillier is married to the former April Charlebois, who also serves on the EAPS Board of Education. They have two children, Madelyn and Nick, both of whom attend Escanaba Area Public Schools.

Jim Beauchamp was elected to the School Board in 2018. Mr. Beauchamp has been a resident of Escanaba for 25 years and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1981. He has been employed with Riverside Chevy for 11 years as a salesman. He is actively involved in the Eskymos Fan Club and is the father of three sons, Jim Jr., John, and Bryn, and one daughter, Ashley, all who graduated from Escanaba High School. He is married to Linda Beauchamp and they enjoy spending time at their cottage on Lake Michigan, vacationing on Beaver Island, traveling and volunteering. He is a member of St. Anne Parish in Escanaba.

Dan Flynn was elected to the Escanaba Board of Education in 2014. Mr. Flynn has been a resident of Escanaba for 44 years. Mr. Flynn is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Education and a master's degree in Health Education. His educational experience includes teacher, coach, and administrator for the Escanaba Area Schools. Mr. Flynn served on the Michigan High School Athletic Association's elected governing board, the Representative Council, for 22 years as an Upper Peninsula member.

Todd Milkiewicz was appointed to the Board of Education in 2019. He graduated from Escanaba High School in 1981, and is a graduate of Bay College. A lifelong resident of Escanaba, Mr. Milkiewicz is a veteran who served in the United States Air Force. He has been employed by United Parcel Service since 1982. Mr. Milkiewicz married Kathy Polaczyk in 1986, and has three daughters – April, Sarah, and Brooke – all of whom graduated from EHS and reside in Escanaba. He has ten grandchildren. He is an usher and active member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mr. Milkiewicz was previously the EHS JV softball coach, and president of the Escanaba Heartbreakers for 15+ years. He has also been very actively involved in Escanaba Little League for over 25 years, and currently serves as the organization’s Vice President. Mr. Milkiewicz served for many years as a member of the City of Escanaba Planning Commission. In his spare time, you will find him at the softball fields, hockey rink, on the turf, or hunting and fishing.

April Chaillier was elected to the Board of Education in 2016. Mrs. Chaillier is a lifelong resident, having graduated from Escanaba High School in 1995. April and her husband Bob are raising two children who attend school in the district. Mrs. Chaillier has worked for the UP Plumbers, Pipefitters & HVAC Local #111 for 19 years. She is an active member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Chailliers are avid campers, enjoying many summer weekends on Indian Lake.

James L. Hermans, a native of Escanaba, was elected to the Board of Education in 2000. Mr. Hermans graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education. He received a Master of Arts in 1973 in Education and Administration. Mr. Hermans also has 30+ hours in School Law and Finance. He is a member of St. Anne’s Church, Escanaba and is on the Michigan Works! Job Force Board (2004-present). Mr. Hermans is a former member of the Bay College Board of Trustees (2006-2017) and the Noon Kiwanis (22 years) where he served two terms as president.

Jamie Segorski is a lifelong resident of the City of Escanaba, he graduated from Escanaba High School in 1989.  In 1994 Jamie graduated from Ferris State University then Northern Michigan University Regional Police Academy in 1997.  In may of 2020 Jamie retired from his position as police captain for Escanaba Public Safety and 911 coordinator for Delta County. Jamie served as a wrestling coach within the district for more than 25 years and varsity softball coach for 4 years.  Jamie coached Escanaba’s 2018 MHSAA D-2 State Championship Softball Team. Jamie and his wife Crissy have three children (Taylor, Carsyn and Owen) who have all either graduated from or are still attending Escanaba Schools.
